World Record Set In Cayman Islands

Check this out!!  Penny Pelfrey jumped into the Caribbean Sea early on Saturday morning and swam to Grand Cayman.  She arrived here last night at 10:07.  It is almost 68 miles and it took her a little over 40 hours to do so.  I sure wish I could've been at the East End to welcome her.  I listened to the hoopla on the radio last night.  She is 48 years old, from Austraila and has 3 children and 1 grandchild!  When she arrived on land last night, they put her into an ambulance and took her to the hospital here in George Town as she was very, very exhausted.  I read that while she was doing her swim that her group encountered and killed three sharks, during the night on Saturday she was stung by possibly jellyfish and they spotted a pod of whales with a baby which they were able to drive away from Penny and the group with her.  This is so neat as it happened here in our Islands!!  Hope you enjoy this article.
