The Reception

Kimberly and George's wedding reception was right up the road from our house at none other than The Cayman Turtle Farm.  Her Mother works here.  I had previously saw some photos of parties there and how beautifully they decorate!  When we went inside there were a lot of tall/small tables set up and a large one with hor'dourves of should I say what was left of them by the time we got there :o)
Before we went inside I got a picture of George with Dennis
After enjoying the hor'dourves we out back to the large patio area where the tables were set up for the reception.  This was right by the large turtle pond.  Can you believe that I didn't get any pictures of the turtles????  I went over to look at them and the next thing you know it was too dark to get any shots of them.
As you can see it was really, really windy!  The bridal table area was so pretty!!
The centerpiece that was on our table
Ahh!!
The Maid of Honor giving her speech . . . . .
and then the Best Man.
You can't tell it as the sky still looks light, but by now it was very dark!
Steve and Celia come to our Church and are very good friends of ours.  She is Kimberly's cousin.  He is originally from Belize.
There's "Sugar" again!!  What a sweet lady.  Lately, she hasn't been doing to well physically and her mind is slowly getting bad.  I was so happy she remembered me.  We share the same birthday :o)  One sweet lady!!
We wish George and Kimberly the very best for their marriage!  After their big day they came to Church on Sunday morning :o)  In the afternoon, they left on their honeymoon to Jamaica where I'm sure they were going to see his family.

Dennis with the guys!  The one on the left and also the one right beside him are brothers and Karen (above) is their Mother.
As long as she didn't have to be up front for pictures she was very content to be using someone's IPad.
Reception pictures coming up next.  Wait until you see where it was!!

George and Kimberly's Wedding

On Saturday, June 23, 2012, there was a beautiful wedding at our Church.  We've known the bride for a number of years as when she was a teenager attended the same Youth Camp we went to in PA.  I'm sure that way back then Dennis never thought he'd end up doing her wedding!

Her sweet Mother, Vicky, on the left and I are very good friends
The bride's cousin, Kiara, was the Guest Book Attendant.  She must have been bored as she got a chair and sat down when no guests were there to sign the book :o)
I had to be in the back of the Church to help get the bridesmaids, flower girls, etc. started down the aisle at the right time.  Also, I had to close the doors after they went in and then opened them when it was time for the bride and father to go down the aisle!  Apparently I got a little bored, too, as I was taking pictures of the chandelier :o)
This is another thing that is done here that isn't done in the States.  Dennis has to post what they call a "Public Notice" of the bride and groom's plans to be married.  I believe it has to be posted at least 10 days before the wedding.
Here they come!
And the bride with her Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids

I was so disgusted as the videographer or photographer were in almost every picture I took!!  Arrgghhhh!!
Exchanging vows
Another thing they do here is to sign the Marriage Certificate during the Ceremony.  That's pretty neat!

Happy Birthday Caden ~ Our Little Man Is Growing Up

Happy 5th Birthday ~ Little Man
We got to talk to Caden, his Mommy and Jordan on Skype earlier today!  Brett is at San Antonio, Texas at Lackland AFB where he was for his Basic Training taking training for his new job of Staff Sergant!  I feel bad he couldn't be with Caden today, but he did talk to him.  The following are some pictures I just came across and had to share!  I hope Caden gets to see these.

Dear Caden,
Pre~Caden or before you were born!
I had been at the hospital with your Mommy for several hours that evening, but went home.  Daddy was hurrying home to Ohio to try to get from Tampa where he was stationed in the Air Force before the new bundle of joy arrived, BUT you had other plans and came before your Daddy got there.
Your Daddy called me and said the baby was about to be born, so I got out of bed in the middle of the night and hurried to the hospital. When I was right in front of the hospital Daddy called again to ask where I was. He informed me that I was too late that you were already born. So, I continued to hurry!  Shortly after you made his grand entrance into the world with your proud Grammy!!
And then Pappy came!
Finally, your Daddy got there!  He was/is such a proud Daddy and one of the best I've ever seen!!
I love this picture of us cuddling:o)
We went to West Virigina to visit Great~Grammy & Great~Pappy when you were two weeks old.  We were all outside enjoying a picnic, but Great~Grammy stayed in the house with you as she wasn't feeling too good.  Someone had laid you on the floor before we went out and somehow she managed to get down there with you.  She loved you so much and thought you hung the moon!!  We weren't outside very long before she came out to tell us that at two weeks old you rolled over and continued to do so!!
A fun picture of an Air Force family.  The outfit that you have on was taken off of a teddy bear and Daddy and Mommy put it on you.  It was so tight on you we could hardly take it off!
On one weekend we did a lot of "firsts" with you.  Here we are at your first Cleveland Indians baseball game.  It was soooooooooooo loud at the end when they did fireworks that I squeezed you next to me and covered your little ears so tight with my other hand, but you never squirmed!!
We also took you out on Lake Erie on your first boat ride!
That night Pappy took our rocking chair to our bedroom.  During that night you drank your first bottle.
This was in Tampa being silly and soooooo cute!!
Your first halloween and trip to the Pumpkin Patch
Now you're a big brother!!  Here you were having fun in your swimming pool with Jordan!!
And now in just a few short months you will be starting school.  Here you were showing us how good you can write the A,B,C's!  Grammy and Pappy are soooooooo proud of you and the Little Man that you are growing up to be.  Keep up the good work!
We miss you so much and love you more then you'll ever know.  We hope that you and Jordan had fun at Chuckie Cheese today with Mommy as you celebrated.  It won't be long now until we see you and the rest of your family.  We excited to be taking all of you to Colorado for a little vacation.  It's going to be lots of fun as we have a lot of things planned just for you and Jordan to enjoy!!  Happy, happy birthday Caden.
XOXOXOXOXO
Love you the mostest of the mostest,
Grammy and Pappy
