Reminiscing

Thursday, February 14th
This evening I had got out my Mother's old, fragile photo album and we sat around the table looking at the old pictures reminiscing!  Some of the pictures we figured were possibly from as far back as the 1920's.  Sometime in the future I plan to take the pictures out of this album and put them in a scrapbook which I already have and label all the pictures that we know who they are of.  I hate to do that, but Mother's book is literally falling apart and the pages are so brittle that they are breaking and the edges almost discinagrating!!  A piece of history that is priceless to my family!!

Time to Celebrate

Valentine's Day/Charlotte's Birthday
Thursday, February 14th
I made Mocha Brownies and homemade Cream Cheese Frosting.  I wanted to make it like a layer cake, but the brownies wouldn't cooperate.  So, I just left them in the heart shaped pan and put the icing and candles on it :o)
After we sang to her she was blowing out the candles.
Hope you had a Happy Cayman Birthday, Charlotte!!
Love you!!

The sunset was just beautiful!!
So pretty!!
Here we were waiting on our dinner which was delicious!!  That is a super, duper place to eat (along with all the others :o)  And the company was great!!

Birthday Breakfast

Valentine's Day
Thursday, February 14th
This was Charlotte's "29th" birthday :o)  I had asked our friends Miss Samms and Miss Blake to come for breakfast as they hadn't got to spend any time with my family.  It was a nice surprise for Charlotte when I told her that they were coming to join us for her special day!  We enjoyed having them with us!!

Helicopter Ride Over Grand Cayman

Wednesday, February 13th
When we were at Burger King getting something cool to drink some of my family walked over to check out the helicopter ride.  Four decided to go for it and take the plunge ~ well not literally!!
Who's taking a picture of who here? :o)
Mike talking to the pilot
Jim now talking to him
Getting in one by one
The pilot waiting for Jim to get in
Up . . . . .
Up . . . . .
and away they went.  They were gone for about 20 minutes taking a tour in the air of the Island.
Before long
they were
on their
way back!!

Waiting for the rotors to stop turning!
Finally, the doors opened
and the pilot stepped out.
He was kind and took their picture along side of the helicopter.  They had some interesting things to tell us!!

Dinner At Sea Harvest

Tuesday, February 12th
We decided to go to Sea Harvest for dinner tonight.  It is along the coast and was beautiful as always, but going there in the evenings and when the weather is not so miserable hot it is so nice to sit outside on the patio which we did.  The views were great, too!  The Norwegian Cruise Ship was still in Port when we arrived at Sea Harvest, but . . . . .
soon afterward blew it's loud horn to let everyone know they were on their way to the next Port of Call.
Looking out across the Sea the other direction with the colorful sky was so pretty!!
Ta~da!!  And here we are getting ready to enjoy dinner.  Vi and Charlotte had a little time of searching for "letters" here.  Charlotte found a "K" that she needed thanks to her big sister :o)
We looked out across the Sea and here was a tug boat pulling (guiding) the Submarine.  It was on a night time mission which we had wanted to do on Thursday, but later decided against it.  That was really neat to see all lit up like that at night going out there in the Sea.
We all enjoyed our dinner at Sea Harvest!

Thanks Shane!!

Tuesday, February 12th
Shane is from our Church and it was his boat we had the opportunity to go out to Stingray City on!  He's a great guy!!  Thanks so much, Shane!!  We truly appreciate it.
