I Interrupt This Blog.....

I've been posting a lot lately pictures from our trip to the States a few weeks ago. But I need to write about our morning! Sometime ago, Dennis received an invitation in the mail for our National Prayer Breakfast that was this morning and I was invited to go, too! What a wonderful time it was!! A lot of the "HIGH~UP'S" in the Government from our great Island were there along with many minister's. There was some songs, readings, Scripture's that were shared and of course, a lot of prayers for our country and leaders. It was very interesting. But the neatest thing to me was that we were privileged to have "The Police Commissioner" that is here on assignment from England for four years sit at our table ~ no less right beside me. What a very kind gentleman he is!! We talked to him for quite some time before the event even began. He's been here for several months now and he was telling us how he and his wife's families have come to Cayman to visit. I talked to him about the crime that had escalated so much here at the beginning of the year. Some of the leaders of the gangs have apparently been sent off of the Island by their parents which has helped a lot!! Thank the Lord nothing has happened since the funeral Dennis had for the young man who was shot a month or more ago!! The U.K. has also sent over 14 Detectives to help with the crime and to help give our police here a little break. But this man was so nice! I hope that we get to visit with him again in his four year term here in Cayman!! It was a wonderful way to start our morning. And the breakfast was delicious, too. Charlotte, just so you know, it was held at The Westin where we went the Saturday morning you and Richard were visiting us. You can't go wrong there for a good and delicious breakfast!!

You can tell that somebody was very happy for us to stop at a gas station! He was anxious to get out even if it was to play and crawl around on the back of his Daddy's truck.
And also to drive for a while!
