Sunday Was Another Special Day

This past Sunday was another very special day for us and our Church! We had our first baptism since we came to Cayman. After the morning service a lot of the congregation went down to the Sea. This was the first that Dennis & I have gone there. This particular beach is less than a 1/2 mile from our house!! Trying to decide where to exactly do the baptizing
Again, the pictures just don't show the true beauty of the water but hopefully you can get an idea!
Some of the people starting to gather on the shore.
Praying before they started
Some of our wonderful "new" friends
Rev. Case exhorting to the baptismal candidates
Bro. Vernal and Sis. Violet
This was a little bit funny but also frightening. Dennis was walking out in the water when the bottom just dropped off and he lost his balance. He almost when down. He said at one point his feet weren't even touching the bottom!! You can see the smile on our friend John's face!! Dennis' feet were all cut up from the corral on the bottom of the Sea. It was pretty rough right there.
Unfortunately, I missed when they baptized Violet but did get Vernal.
Under he went! Dennis said to this man, "Let's hurry up and get this done, so we can get out of here :o)" The water was pretty rough although it doesn't look like it! The undertow from when the tides went back out were what was so bad.
Coming back on dry ground.
The gentleman with glasses is our Assistant Pastor and also Church Treasurer.
Below is mostly Vernal's family
I went down closer to the Sea to get this picture.
A dismissal prayer
What a beautiful view. The city across the Sea is Georgetown.
There were three little kids swimming during the baptismal service. They were having a blast!
Three ships way out there
Our wonderful friends, John and Betty!!!
What a great day it was!!
