Going to Georgia

One day, we had to go to Georgia to meet some teachers who are moving to Cayman to teach this new school year.  We had to pick up their boxes that were going to be shipped down there for them.  We took Caden with us and left at 5:00 in the morning.  Dennis carried him sound asleep out to the van and put him in his car booster seat.  He slept for probably an hour or so.  When he woke up it was still dark :o)  In a short time, we stopped at a McDonald's for Dennis to get his coffee.  Caden's order was for chicken nuggets and french fries and it was way to early for that.  I suggested french toast sticks and he was fine with that idea :o)  But the only problem was when his Pappy came out he didn't have that.  McDonald's doesn't have french toast sticks, so he got us their yogurt parfait with fruit and he loved it!  Finally, we got to Georgia and met our friends.  The meeting place was ~ another McDonald's.  Yep!  You guessed it!  It was only 9:30 and Caden put in his order for chicken nuggets and french fries again.
I explained to him again that it was to early in the morning for those goodies.  So, instead his Pappy got him a hot fudge sundae!!  He was in his glory :o)  In a few minutes, we were headed back to Tampa which was several hours away.  We stopped at a mall to break up the trip a little bit and mainly to check out some thing's in J.C. Penny's.  We also went into a shoe store.  I felt bad, because Caden had been taking a nap but woke up without being grouchy!!  Finally, at lunchtime we stopped again at another McDonald's and all he wanted by now was his french fries.  He had been eating a lot of snacks in the van, so it wasn't like he was starving.  He also got some cookies after he ate his fries.  I don't think I've ever been to McDonald's three times in one day before in my life, but you'll do just about anything for your Grand~Kids!!
