Mother's Days Thoughts and Wishes

Happy Mother's Day

The last couple years of my Mother's life she lived with Dennis and I, so I was able to celebrate her on Mother's Day.  Most other years that wasn't possible as I had to be at our own Church for a special program.  I treasure those times of celebrating "MY" mother!!

She was one of the most special ladies in my life and how I miss her!!  I love you, Momma dear.  Although you're gone from me now you'll always live on in my heart and mind!! 

Yes, I'm a Mother and proud of it!!  God blessed me with two of the greatest boys that have turned out to be fine young men.  I was worried that I couldn't be a mother, but we made it through those baby years, teen years and now Brett and Brandon are out on their own. 

I love them both with all of my heart and am proud of them.  I pray daily for them that God will lead their lives!!  Just wish I could see them a lot more than I do.  I miss them so much!!  They will always be my boys.

And Brett has given me the best two treasures!!  If you didn't know it I love being a Grammy!!  There's nothing like it :o)

And I'd like to wish two of my "bestest friends" a super Happy Mother's Day!!  I would love to be with you today.  I may not be there in body but will be in spirit.  You two are awesome Mom's and have raised wonderful nieces and nephews for me :o)  Do you remember what you were doing in this picture?  I do, but won't put it on here!  Haha!!  Love you both!!

And last but not least was my special Mother~in~law.  She was such a wonderful person and made a lasting impression in my life and I really miss her cheery/encouragement!!

510 years ago today, Christopher Columbus sighted Cayman Brac & Little Cayman. And it was the first time there was written documentation of Cayman!

Finally ~ My Boys Arrive!!

We didn't know what time Caden and Jordan were getting in town,

but we were really excited and couldn't wait until they arrived.  Finally, they got to our house!!  Here comes Caden with his gun :o)

On the way up to Cheat Mountain I saw this pretty little waterfalls along the road.

So, on the way home I was watching for it to take some pictures.

Happy Birthday to My Wonderful Sister Vi

Well, I've been told by my dear sister, Vi, that 39 years ago she was born.  Not only is she wrong about that, but I think maybe her mind is getting bad with age or else she is just really wishing she was 39 :o)  Whatever it is, Vi, I hope you have a very, very Happy Birthday!!  Just sad I'm not with you to celebrate.  I guess we'll have to do that at a later time.

I love digging in Mom's old photo album/scrapbook and looking at the pictures.  It's always a hard choice to choose which ones I'm going to use as there's so many good ones.  Not sure how old you were here, but you don't look much more than maybe a year or so with Daddy holding you.  Look at that old car!!  Wow, that looks more than 39 years ago!!

Not sure where you were going here.  Was this when you were leaving for school in Kentucky?  Again, this is a few years ago.  We still lived on the farm!!  Oh, my.

I like this picture!!  This was at my house in Ohio around Christmas time and Thelma had lost her hair from the chemo treatments.  I remember you saying something about putting a decoration in your hair as she couldn't do that and was wearing one of her turbans/hats.  A good picture of you two!!

I love you, Vi!!  Thanks for always being there for me and supporting me.  You're an awesome sister and remember what I told you earlier.  If you are 39 years old than I must be about 5 years old :o)  Again, happy, happy birthday.  You are a very, very special sister and I love you!!
