Sometime we want to drive up into the mountains.  Soon after we were out there, Brett and his family went camping up there for a weekend.

Happy Birthday

Yep!  There was the party and lots of fun!  Here's the proof!!

A sweet little girl in first grade had a birthday this week.  Her class along with the Kindergarten class went to a park and some other place which I forget where right now.  Dennis and I were invited to join them and were going to, but something came up and he had a very important meeting to attend :o(  The mother puts on a party like you've never seen!  She sure puts out the money for it just let me put it that way.  After the party was over, she brought probably 20 or more balloons into my office and left all of these for me :o)

Then yesterday, she came in with two plates with huge pieces of cake!!  Oh, my!!  Talk about calories.  I seriously doubt that I'll eat all of mine plus it's probably sickening sweet.  This lady is so thoughtful!!

So, it's not really "my" birthday.  I just have the balloons and cake and am going to celebrate, but don't get any older while doing so! haha!!

Happy Birthday Matthew

Today is another one of those days where you just don't know what to say!!  Today would've been my Grandmother's birthday.  And a long time after her birth, my dear nephew Matthew was born.  Unfortunate for us his life ended much to early when cancer over took his earthly body!!  I came across some pictures that I had downloaded on my computer and just wanted to share them.  Of course, they were many years ago when Matt was a "youngster" :o)  The first two were when we still lived in Coopersburg and his family had come to visit us.  They make me smile!!  Just thinking of him carrying Brett around is funny to me for some reason.

Even though he was several years older than my boys he still took time to play with them.

And I hate that this picture turned sideways on me!!  I tried several times to turn it but it downloads on blogger wrong.  Oh, well, you still get the picture.  His graduation from Pequea Valley!

And this, too, was a few years ago!!  This was at Thelma's ~ not sure what holiday it was.  Probably we were all there for a big Thanksgiving meal.  Matt with his Daddy Jimm.

Matt was a beautiful person on the inside and out!! He was a great guy and nobody can replace him and we don't want anyone to replace him!!  Like Jim said, "Matt, is having the party of all parties!"   We love you, Mattie, as your Pop~Pop called you.  Happy Birthday in Heaven!!

What A Treasure :o)

Saturday late afternoon we had some spare time before meeting friends for dinner and went into a grocery store which we don't usually get to very often.  I wanted some pretzels, so Dennis graciously went to the snack aisle while I was looking elsewhere.  When I caught up to him this is what he had just for me!!  Oh, are they ever good and hot!!!  YUMMY!!  Too bad they don't have the burnt pretzels down here.  BUT I will settle for these!!
