YUCK

While Brett and Karissa were across the road fishing this is what he caught and brought home!!  Disgusting and look at Caden holding it!!

They found an empty coffee container and put the snake inside of it.  Brett took a knife and poked holes in the lid.  I told Caden that if they didn't let it go that it would die, but he didn't want to hear that :o)  The next day, Brett caught some kind of insect, I can't remember what it was.  So, he got the coffee container aka the snake's home, lifted the lid just a little bit to slide the insect in and lo and behold, the snake slithered out and went across the patio it went into the mulch to be history as a pet!  HALLELUJAH!!  Caden was a little sad, so Brett explained that it needed to go back to it's family!

Bumble Bee

A bumble bee someone found

Leaving For the Night

Brett, Karissa and Jordan slept at Dennis' sister's house with his dad being sick.  Here Brett and Jordan had just got in the car to go for the night!!  I love this picture.

Another Creature

Caden found this spider and I had to catch it to put in a jar for him!!
A few days later it died :o(

Caden's Fishing Trip With His Daddy and Pappy

One of the (main) reasons for going to West Virginia in April is because that's when trout fishing season begins and Dennis and Brett love that sport!  Oh, sorry, so does Caden!!  Haha!!  He is not quite five years old, but can fish a lot better than some adults and that's the truth.  When Brett's family still lived in Florida they went fishing a lot there, but in New Mexico there's not many places close to where they live to take Caden and that's very disappointing!  So, Pappy was so excited to take him and believe me, Caden was just as excited to go.  Last year, all of us went a few times and so we knew it would be another happy time :o)  I can't remember why, but I didn't go with them.  Well, later in the day when they returned did they ever have some fishing tales to tell.  But the pictures tell a lot, too!

Caden's catch of eight big trout
He really was proud of his catch and I don't blame him!!  He did soooooooooo good!!  Dennis said where they went fishing they had to cast his line out for him, but he caught the fish and reeled every one of them in by himself!!  Usually he even casts the line, but this was different.
After Caden showed me his catch he told me that his Daddy had caught a Golden Trout and couldn't wait to show me.
What a good picture of Brett, Caden and the Golden Trout.
Caden explained to me that after they catch the trout and they die that their skin changes colors.  I'm sure I knew that from before, but had forgotten.  What a lesson he shared!!
Pappy, Caden and the future fisheman showing off Caden's catch.
Getting ready for another picture.
Isn't he a sweetie?
And everyone's catch of the day!!  They caught a lot more, but could only keep their limit.  Congrats guys!!

The Rake

So many times when visiting my in~law's I took pictures of "the rake"!  Well, for a long time I wanted to get some pictures of Caden and Jordan on it and this visit was the right time!

(Sorry for the sideways pic)

Then we put Jordan there, too!  It was a little nerve wracking maybe, because the seat that Caden was sitting on was really leaning forward and I sure didn't want him falling off of it.  Then I sat Jordan on an old cinder block that was hold the tongue of the rake up!  Another scary thing to do, but they both did very good for me!

I love these pictures!!

The 4~Wheeler

One afternoon Brett got the four~wheeler out of the garage.  Now just let me tell you that brings much joy and happiness to two little boys!!
After Brett took the boys for a long ride Pappy had to have his turn with them!
Not sure who had more fun ~ Pappy or his boys :o)
Unfortunately, I didn't get to ride with them as I was busy making dinner for everyone!
