Some friends who were down in February drove around the Island and came back to tell me that they stopped here.  So, I was watching for it, but we passed it.  Michael turned around for us to check it out.

I can't believe how fast time went while my family was here!!  Way tooooo fast!!  It was so great to have all of them here and I hope they come again soon.  We made some wonderful memories together!!

Six Years Ago Today ~ 4/2

 

 

Six years ago today, April 2nd, my dear sister, Thelma, left her sick earthly body behind and is no longer suffering with sickness and pain from cancer!!  I miss her so much.  There are still times when I think about picking up the phone to call and see how she's doing then realize she isn't here anymore.  As much as I miss her I wouldn't wish her back from Heaven.  She was a great "oldest" sister to all of us.  I love you, Thelma!!

Happy Birthday to My Momma

It doesn't seem possible that today is my Momma's birthday and she isn't here to celebrate with!!  I sure miss her sooooooooo much.  She was one special lady to my brother's, sister's and I.  I've been reminiscing about her a lot today and have such fond memories.  I don't wish her back from Heaven, but sure do miss her.  Mom was born on April Fools Day.  I remember her always telling me that her father thought for sure that before she was born she was going to be a boy.  Did she ever surprise them :o)  I love you, dear Momma, and wish you another Happy Birthday in Heaven!!  Since you aren't here for your birthday treat I think I'll make an orange float with vanilla ice cream that you loved and think of you as I eat it!!
