On Tuesday, the school had Sports Day. When I was in Junior High & Senior High in the Spring we always had what they called Field Day. This is pretty much the same thing only earlier in the year before the hot weather comes here. It was a perfect day! The temps were only in the 70's and it was cloudy. Otherwise the tropical sun almost bakes you. So, that was good for the kids because they weren't burning up and sweating!! You will notice that the kids are divided up into four teams and wear different color tee shirts. Here they were trying to organize the kids into their teams.
I tried to take pictures of all the teachers.
Left Mrs. Melendez - kindergarten teacher and is having a baby at the end of May or early June and Mrs. Profitt who teaches Junior High.

Mrs. Walker on the left who works in the younger Learning Center (lower elementary grades) and Mrs. Wilson who works in the older Learning Center (higher elementary grades).
This is Mr. Cox who is the IT guy! He is fabulous with all the modern technology!! He videoed a lot of the different activities of the day. He also does all the sound, videoing, etc. for Church!
Mr. Melendez who currently is the Principal
Mr. Profitt who works in the older Learning Center and organized most of the events of the day. I love his hat :o) But he sure didn't need it to keep the sun out of his eyes!
My good friend, Betty, who trained me in the office for two weeks and helped whenever I needed her talking to her son Jerry who is a High School teacher.
Our good friends, Fernando aka Mark and his wife Rayna. They are the one's who took us out to the super nice dinner last Friday night at the Prime Restaurant.
Mrs. Furbur who is the Reading Center teacher (a preschool program). Her husband does maintenance and also helps in the Junior High department. They are leaving at Easter to go back to the States. We will really miss them as they are a big help here at the school!!
Mr. Profitt again
I took this picture for you to see that some people here actually thought it was cold as the lady in the black has a jacket on.
My friend, Debbie, clapping because her son won a relay race.
This is the teacher's apartment building. There are other apartments, too, but this is the big building!
The little kids were playing kick ball. I love the expression on this little guys face ~ tongue stuck out and all :o)) Sorry for the blurriness but there was action going on here! haha!
More of the little kids playing kick ball. They were so cute and most of the time had no idea what to do when they caught the ball.
Mrs. Goldstein helps in the Learning Center. She is a very, very sweet lady!!
Someone brought Dennis a hot dog while he was trying to announce one of the games!
Miss Blake is the main teacher in the older Learning Center.
My friend, Betty, on the right with next years Principal, Miss GrantDennis had called the children around him for special prayer for a family who's four year old son was shot and killed the night before by gangster's. It was very touching while he was praying!!
Miss Samms on the left is the main teacher in the younger Learning Center.
Some of the parents that were here lined up watching their kids. The parents came to support their children and to cheer them on. It was really neat!!

As for the picture that I just put at the top of my blog ~ no, Dennis & I went downtown on Tuesday. We parked at Burger King which is right at the water and got milkshakes. I took a lot of pictures of the cruise ships that were at port. I have some more to post on here, but haven't got to that yet :o(
