Our Very Eventful Trip to Antigua

If I was a person who believed in luck, well this trip would have been just for us :o) We left home on Friday the 13th around 5:45 am to go to the airport here in Cayman. Everything went well or so we though. Finally, we boarded the plane and were off on our trip with the first stop being in Miami. Really that was to be our only stop before arriving in Antigua. When we got to the airport there, Dennis & I went to pick up our one checked bag. We thought we'd head right to American Airlines to board for our next flight to Antigua. That didn't happen!! When we were at Cayman, the lady there didn't put an Antigua tag on our check in bag. That really messed us up badly!! We couldn't get on our scheduled flight as it was due to leave in 45 minutes and the lady at the counter told us they had to have check baggage at least one hour before boarding. We were sick!!! It took her about 30 minutes to get four people's tickets straightened out. We ended up having a couple hours of layover there at Miami. Then we had to go to San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was not on our itenary! But it's someplace Dennis and I had never been to :o) We were in San Juan for a couple more hours before boarding our last plane to Antigua. Originally we were to get there around 2:30 pm and then that changed to around 8:30 pm!! What a mess!! That was just the beginning of a very long three days. We were beyond glad to get home!!
