When we started getting acquinted with our new High School teachers who are from the Island of Grenada, we found out that they eat Iguana. Now what is wrong with this picture??????? That is totally disgusting. So, they invited all the Staff to an evening out on the deck one Friday after school. Carlson and another guy had went out a few hours earlier and caught two big Iguana's. They killed them, cleaned them and now it was time to watch the big cook~off of Iguana.
They were so kind to have chicken who weren't so brave of heart to try the Iguana :o)

And there you have a plate full of grilled Iguana. Click on the picture and you can see the ribs actually protruding!! Again, totally disgusting!!!!!
This was my plate for dinner ~ the smallest piece of Iguana I could find and a potato type salad Abigail made. It took me 3/4 of the evening until I got brave to even taste a smidgen of the Iguana. Then I about got sick!! Just the thought that I was going to even taste one of those ugly creatures!!! Nasty, nasty, nasty!!
Here's some of the crowd eating. We laughed so hard at Aaron (our Associate Pastor seated to the left) as he wouldn't budge to even begin to taste the Iguana. He was hilarious!!
