This morning my mother~in~law went to the hospital for eye surgery. Not sure what it was, but they put her to sleep for it since she has restless leg syndrome and she needed to be completely still. After surgery, when she woke up and they removed the tube, etc. she was doing really good. All of a sudden her blood pressure bottomed out, her lungs filled with fluid and her oxygen level depleted. They put her on a respirator, gave her a high dose of medicine to remove the fluid, put her on 100% oxygen and sedated her. She is stabilized and now resting peacefully in ICU. They are hoping in the morning to remove everything and that she'll be okay! She has been battling Alzheimer's the past few years, but thankfully she isn't real bad with it. Just pray that everything will be okay. It's really hard when she's a couple of thousand miles away in that condition.
