Happy Birthday, Jeanne

I'd like to wish my dear friend, Jeanne, a very Happy Birthday!!  I called her on Sunday to wish her a wonderful birthday, but I was a day early :o)  Better early than late, I guess!!

It was so good to talk to her as it's been a long time!!

Her and Joe will be married 40 years on their next anniversary and I understand there may possibly be a trip on the calendar to come to Grand Cayman.  Oh, my, what fun that would be!!  If that happens I'm sure there won't be much sleep :o)

I hope you had a wonderful birthday and will have many, many more!!  Enjoy your Christmas with your family who has already come home and those who will be there in a few days!!

Happy Birthday

Yep!  There was the party and lots of fun!  Here's the proof!!

A sweet little girl in first grade had a birthday this week.  Her class along with the Kindergarten class went to a park and some other place which I forget where right now.  Dennis and I were invited to join them and were going to, but something came up and he had a very important meeting to attend :o(  The mother puts on a party like you've never seen!  She sure puts out the money for it just let me put it that way.  After the party was over, she brought probably 20 or more balloons into my office and left all of these for me :o)

Then yesterday, she came in with two plates with huge pieces of cake!!  Oh, my!!  Talk about calories.  I seriously doubt that I'll eat all of mine plus it's probably sickening sweet.  This lady is so thoughtful!!

So, it's not really "my" birthday.  I just have the balloons and cake and am going to celebrate, but don't get any older while doing so! haha!!

George B. Killinger was born into the world on March 22, 1916 and in 19?? he became my Daddy!!  I don't remember that day, of course, but I have soooooooooooo many memories of him from throughout my life!!

 I love his smile here.  He always had fun playing with Brett and Brandon.  Really, I think he could spend time playing with any child.  He truly loved kids!

Here he is with "His Little Girl" and note I said little :o)  (Oh, what I'd give to be that size again.)  Anyway, this picture was taken at Skaneatles at one of the Finger Lakes in New York when we lived in Syracuse!

I sure will miss celebrating your birthday again another year!!  It was always fun having a cake and some ice cream for your special day.  As I've said many times before, you were the best Dad a girl could have.  It seems that these pictures have almost brought you to life again.  I miss you so much.  Thank you for all you ever did for me!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy

Today ~ March 22nd ~ is my Daddy's birthday! Although he's not here to celebrate it with him, I'm sure I'll have many thoughts about his previous birthday's throughout the day!! I sure miss going "home" to PA to visit with my parents on their special days. But today he's once again celebrating another birthday in Heaven. I miss you, Daddy, and I know that you're having the time of your life!!
