Yesterday, June 8, 2013, we had a beautiful wedding at our Church. The decorations were very simple as was the ceremony, but very nice!
They had a harpist play all the music except what the soloist sang to. I recognized him and after the ceremony asked him if he plays at the Casa Nova Restaurant and he said yes! We chatted a minute or so and then he hugged me, kissed me on the cheek and said something in his Italian accent about coming to see him at Casa Nova. I assured him that we'd come to see him sometime (not sure when that will be with Dennis dieting :o) His music was beautiful!

Several people were saying at the Reception that she looked like the Queen of the Cayman Islands with her adorable hat!!

The Usher's had a time getting the aisle runner to go right. It ended up that Dennis had to come down off the step and stand on it :o)

When these two walked up the aisle everyone was laughing so hard and I couldn't tell why because I was up in the Sound Booth. Click on the picture to see what the sign says that he's holding! What a cute idea!!

When I saw these two coming back the aisle I just couldn't resist getting a picture :o)
The Reception was at (one of my many favorite places) Ristorante Papagallo's. The entire restaurant was rented out for the Reception! We of course got there quite a while before the Wedding Party. When we walked in this what greeted us ~ "The Swanky Kitchen Band".
Oops!! There's Debbie and Malachi (parents of the groom). They are great friends having known them for many years from Youth Camp in Pennsylvania.
This is a real authentic Caymanian band. They sound like Bluegrass with a Caribbean beat. It was beautiful music!!
They had two or three guitars, drums, bongo drums, a fiddle and the lady on the left played a grater. Yes, a grater like you would use to grate cheese, etc. So Caymanian!! I said to Dennis I wondered what she was using to go back and forth on it to make the sound. I kept watching and lo and behold here she was using a hair pik!! How original is that???? I wish you all could've heard them! They sang some songs, too!!
Right before the Bride and Groom arrived, we found out that Jeffrey, who is an entertainer here on the Island and has a beautiful voice sings with the group. They already had it planned for him to sing. He sang a couple love songs to Kannesa. (While Jeffrey is an entertainer Kaneesa went to University in England and is a lawyer.)
This part with Jeffrey singing to his new Bride Kanessa was very touching and sweet!!
After the band played and the singing was finished, we went into the restaurant part and sat down. Each guest table had these huge lovely floral arrangements on them. The Bridal table had numerous floral arrangements. Sooooo pretty and elegant!!

Sorry this picture is so bright, but the photographer had turned bright lights on for his picture taking. It sure messed up mine. The cake was very pretty!
We wish Jeffrey and Kaneesa the best in their new life together!!

Thank you! Wow, I didn't think of it until I read your comment and then remembered that one of the other rooms was rented out by another group. Sorry! But the wedding had majority of the restaurant.
Beautiful. The bride's and flower girl's dresses are really pretty. I bet the restaurant was beautiful. I recognize the harpist. Makes me want to go back down there.

It was very beautiful! And both the dresses were soooooooo pretty. I had already started getting sick by then and told Dennis I didn't feel like going to the wedding, but didn't want to miss it :o) Glad I went!! Yes, the restaurant was decorated very elegantly. The flower arrangements really were what set it off. Oh, and you're welcome here anytime and we'll go to Casa Nova so we can see the harpist!! Haha!!
So Adam came upon your blog the other day (by Googling "Wingrove Taylor" of all things!). Anyway, I was so happy to see these pictures of Jeffrey's wedding. Glad I found your blog, also! :-)
