Today we celebrate 36 years of marriage! I can't believe it's been that long. How well I remember that hot, sweltering day when we exchanged our vows in Salunga, Pennsylvania.
The Newlyweds
Don't we look young??? Well, I guess we were!!
Today I was busy doing some intense cleaning when someone knocked on the door. When I opened it there was the florist ~ aka Dennis :o) He handed me this bouquet. I love how they had it wrapped up for him in a thick heavy toile with a huge bow!!
This is what's inside! Aren't they beautiful???
Thank you, Dennis!!
I love you!!

P.S. I forgot to put this on the original post :o( We got to know the owner, Veko, of Papagallo's pretty good from having done business with him for our Staff Christmas Dinner in December and just frequenting the restaurant once and a while. In fact, we were just there for a wedding reception last Saturday. When Dennis called him to make reservations for dinner last evening, he mentioned it was our 36th anniversary. After we ate, we were just sitting there talking when one of the waiter's brought us a little plate with four pieces of chocolate biscotti!! Mmmm good!! So, again we're sitting there waiting for our dinner check and nobody came. It's like what is going on!?!?!? Finally, our waiter came carrying a big plate with a nice sized piece of Tiramisu it. He had a candle and lighter in his other hand. He lit the candle for us! They had melted chocolate and wrote "Happy Anniversary" around the edge of the plate. What a pleasant surprise!! Of course, our good friend, Veko, came by our table three or four times to chat and check on us! The last time he stopped I told him that we'd be back next week to celebrate our anniversary again. He laughed!! A few minutes later another waiter came by with the second plate of chocolate biscotti :o) Poor Dennis!! He's been dieting for quite a while and has lost 21 lbs. so far, but last night definitely wasn't a good time for dieting!!
