Finally ~ Birthday Celebration Time!!

(I had this post almost finished and somehow deleted it!!  Grrhhhh!!)

On Tuesday morning, after getting up Brett and Karissa took the boys to the hotel dining room for breakfast while Dennis and I stayed in the room to get ready for the day!  We had something important to do.  On Monday of this trip was Jordan's 2nd birthday and Caden's 5th birthday was on June 23rd and we couldn't celebrate with him.  So, this day was the BIG day we set aside some time to celebrate and party!!  I had asked Caden what flavor of birthday day cake he wanted for his birthday and he said he didn't like cake!  But he informed me that he liked Ice Cream Cake which pleased this Grammy and everyone else :o)  After coming back the night before from elk hunting we found a Dairy Queen and this was about the only selection they had, but it sure served it's purpose.  When they all came back from breakfast it was time to party!!

We left them try the decoration around the side of the cake and

apparently it was pretty good according to Jordan :o)  What a little turkey!!

It was as frozen and as hard as a rock!!

There were gift bags full of goodies sitting on top of the frig waiting for two little men!!  I had managed to pack some gifts into our suitcases to take along for the occasion.

After letting the cake sit a few minutes Brett was finally able to cut it!

Forget about the cake!  Bring on the gifts, Grammy!!

Caden's bedroom is done in John Deere which he loves!

Caden started Kindergarten in August and when I found this book in West Virginia I just had to get it for him.  So cute!!
