Good Byes Are Hard

It was sooooo hard to tell our good friend, Amit, goodbye!
We hadn't seen him for 9 months and we got to spend almost one week with him and now we don't know when we'll get to see him again!
What a fun week it was!  We laughed so much!!
Until next time ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ you will be missed.  So, keep in touch with us via Skype!!

Beautiful Sky

On the way back to the hotel from Youth Camp!
So pretty!
It happens even in PA :o)

A Few Places I've Been This Week

Stopped by Arby's one evening for a quick supper before going to Youth Camp
Went to CJ's HighMarks a couple of times!  Oh, what good food!!
Stopped by Dollar General two times ~ got some snacks here
And who can pass up Dairy Queen?  Not me :o)
Made a quick sweep through Peebles, but didn't find anything that I couldn't live without!
Oh, and I had an orange cream slushy that was delish!!
And went to Wally's World several times as it's right across the road from the hotel
Ate here for lunch like two or three times.  Oh, that Mongolian Grill is a big hit with us!!

Asian Buffet and Mongolian Grill

And with us living out of suitcases and not bringing an enormous amount of clothing along on our trip I had to go to the laundromat yesterday!  I was dreading it, but all in all it went pretty fast!!
And we hit up Kohl's!!
And also JC Penny's where I found some adorable John Deere t~shirts for my little men we're going to see next week!
This is our hotel where we stayed this week.  It was a very nice, clean home away from home for the last five + days!
And now, we're heading over to Cleveland to spend the weekend with Brandon!  I can't wait to see him as we haven't been with him since April and that was less than 24 hours!  Have some exciting things planned while we're there.  I'm sure there will be lots of pictures.

Rain Clouds

These pictures were taken out of the hotel window
We got some rain, but as dry as it is they need a lot more rain here as it is sooooooooooo dry!

Pretty Snazzy

This was our rental car we had while in West Virginia and Ohio.  It's a Nissan!

Tug~of~War

The first night after all the kids were put on teams they played tug~of~war!
I was sitting in the car watching them
It was pitch dark outside but looking at the sky it is lighter :o)  I just love my camera!

Just trying a different setting on my camera!  It turned out pretty good, I think!  This was down toward the Tabernacle!

Youth Camp

Our group from Grand Cayman flew into Detroit on Sunday and then brought a coach bus down to Celina, Ohio for Youth Camp.  There were twenty~one that came.  Here are my good friends, Debbie (left) and Karen (right).  We've known them for close to 20 years from another Youth Camp we all attended together!
Just coming back from Walmart :o)  They don't get to go there only but once or twice a year, so they stock up!
Leon, Stephen, DeAnn, Dawn and Enola just back from shopping
This is the Camp Ground where the Youth Camp is held
There's Lorna playing her tambourine in the service
Dennis with our good friend Jack who lives here in Ohio
A view across the Camp Ground looking toward a corn field
Here are some fun pictures

Jack has been to our Church several times, so he knows our friends very well
And there's our buddy, Amit!!
These friends are brother and sisters (except Ben in the red stripped shirt) who were very young kids when we Pastored in Syracuse, New York.  Heather on the right is now a lawyer!!  They have another sister, Brenda, who unfortuately wasn't here when I took the picture.  What a great family they are!!!
I took this picture through the open window as I was outside of the Tabernacle of Dawn and some others in our group.

Enola
Cheese :o)
Today is the last day of Camp!  Our group will stay here in Celina tonight yet and tomorrow the Coach Bus comes back to get them.  They will go to Cedar Point Amusement Park on Saturday and on to a hotel in Detroit tomorrow night.  They will stay there until they go back to Grand Cayman either Tuesday or Wednesday!  It has been a very relaxing week for me as I don't work in this Youth Camp!

Sunday Dinner In Cincinnati With Friends

A few days before going to Cincinnati, our Principal's daughter~in~law called on my cell phone.  She said that Amit thought we'd enjoy our Sunday dinner prepared by him at their home :o)  When he lived in Cayman he had his own restaurant.  Matter of fact, that's where we met him!  So, it didn't take Dennis and I very long to say we'd be there for dinner.  Here's some scenes from the afternoon.
~     ~     ~     ~     ~
Not sure what Valerie and Lisa were looking at when I snapped this picture
Mrs. Profitt with her eldest son, Aaron
Aubrey is Adam and Valerie's daughter
Elliot is Aaron and Lisa's son
Annie is  Adam and Valerie's daughter
Simon is Aaron and Lisa's son
Back to the kitchen
Amit made the most delicious chicken!  Not sure what he calls it, but it was boneless, skinless chicken breasts rolled up with cheese and spinach inside.  Then he made a sauce and smothered them in that!  Oh, man, they were huge and were they ever delicious!  They also had fresh green beans out of the garden along with mashed potatoes, cucumbers and tomatoes.  For dessert Valerie made an awesome brownie dessert and her sister~in~law, Lisa, made a fruit pizza.  It's a good thing I wasn't counting calories as I would definitely lost count!!

Am I Seeing Red???????? Did You Say Red?

When we were making plans to come to Cincinnati to see Amit, he asked us if we would like to go to a Red's baseball game.  What a silly question to ask? :o)  Of course, we'd love to go!!  So, off we went.
Lots and lot of people
Amit got ahold of my camera again!
Our school Principal in Cayman and her husband were also in Cincy visiting their family.  Here is their son, Adam, behind Dennis holding his Red's hat on Dennis' head while his dad, Mr. P., is watching on.

Dennis and Mr. P. heading toward the escalator
If I didn't know better I'd think Amit was here before :o))
Our first glimpse inside the stadium!  Oh, finally a good baseball game!!
The "four" Amigos
The stadium is very nice!!
And you even have a view of the Ohio River as it flows by.
Around the stadium
Can you see the guy on the dug~out roof?  He was being recognized for his duty in the Marines.  He got a standing ovation from the crowd.
The guy on the left of the screen is on active duty in the Air Force and also received special recognition.  The people really cheered for him, too!
This guy keeps showing up in my pictures
See what I mean???????????
Don't know if you can see it or not, but can you pick out the ship?  See the black bottom of it?
Now they put the Red's hat on my head!
If you click on the picture you can see the turtle doves that had been sitting on the back~stop for a long time taking in the game.  Finally, one of the players hit a foul ball that came back and hit the back~stop and the doves flew off!!
This guy is one of the best pitcher's I've ever see!!
He is the Red's closer
Look at the speed of the pitch

And then he threw this!
The record speed for a pitch is 105 mph!  Amazing!!
The Ohio River was busy on Saturday with boats and barges!
"MAKE SOME NOISE!"
"Make Noise" on the noise meter
"Charge!"
"Make Noise!"
Can you tell at this point the game was tied at 2 ~ 2 and they were getting the crowd wound up as the Red's were up to bat!!
"Get Loud!"
"Make Noise!"
"Go Crazy!" which we all were :o)
"Strike Out!'  If the Red's would have struck out 11 of the opposing team everyone would have gotten free pizza and ice cream.  They had 7 strike~outs, I believe!
"Screamin' Red's!"
Finally, the Red's pulled it off and won!!  What fun we had!!
The Red's team
Smoke from the fireworks blowing across the field
I'd love to go back for another game in Cincy, but that won't be for a while.  This weekend we're going to see the Cleveland Indians with Brandon!  More fun is on the way, folks.  Stay tuned :o)
