Even though right now I'm living outside of the United States, I am proud to be an American!!

Thanks, Dorcas! We saw him do this song in person when Buddy was in the Army in N.C. They bussed the soldiers & their families out to a concert. We sat on hay bales. It was a very moving concert to be with all those service people!!! I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!
I came REAL close to getting him for my first car show....just wasn't enough time to get him back for a concert that night...Love to hear him sing this. A couple of years ago an Indianapolis radio staion interviewed him live and asked him how he felt about "God Bless The USA" for the National Anthem, and Lee said he was honored that I was even talked about, but, NO, he did not want to change it from "The Star Spangled Banner". I thought WOW... And that makes me appreciate him and BOTH songs even more....HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL WHO SERVED AND ALL WHO DIED....I LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU AND MY FREEDOM....GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!! HK
When we went to the first NASCAR race after 911 in Dover, De., he was there and sang this song before the National Anthem at the beginning of the race. Everyone was waving a flag that was handed out upon entry to the event. Was very moving indeed! And I'm so proud to be an American, too, and was an honor to have served.
Jimm..... That would've been awesome and I'm sure you probably had goosebumps big enough to hang nickels on! Thank you for serving our great Country, Jimm!! I was pretty young way back then, but still remember you being gone for what seemed so long!!
