Trying Something New

I love juice ~ mainly orange juice but it is so high in calories and sugar.  Definetly not good for a diet :o)  One day while visiting some friends, she served me this good stuff and it is diet!!  Only 10 calories in 8 ounces and 2 grams of sugar.  The good thing for me is that I only drink about 3/4 cup once a day if that much and it helps me with the craving I have for o.j.!!  In our IGA store it is $3.79 for a 64 oz. bottle, but in a warehouse type store it is $3.19.  I know that's expensive, please don't remind me it's also Cayman :o)  While we were in Tampa just recently, I found the same exact thing in the Commisary on the Air Force Base for a meager price of $1.79.  Two dollars cheaper than in the IGA.  So, while I drink this delicious juice I enjoy each and every sip of it!!

Visitors From Gap, Pennsylvania

Today, we had some visitors come to see us whom I've never met before from my hometown of Gap, Pennsylvania.  These two couples go to my sister Vi's Church.  They came to Cayman on Monday and will be here until Friday.  We had a nice visit with them and they are wonderful people!  We hope to see them again on Thursday when they are going down on the submarine at George Town.  I'm planning to go meet them to get them a big discount since I'm a resident here.

Four Weeks Old

I've been trying for a couple of days to load these pictures on this post, but blogger was super, duper slow!!  This morning it finally worked a lot faster.

"Are you a boy . . . . . .
. . . . . or a girl??
This Momma with the ever~growing babies in her care!
I've got so attached to them!  It's going to be a sad day for me when they leave :o(
I took them out of the cage and put them in the yard to scamper around
and run they did!
Then I gave them some water.  This was the first time they drank without me putting their mouths in for them.
"Big stuff, we are!"

Then they were all tuckered out and this little guy decided the best place to lay it's head was in the bowl :o)
And he maybe thought if his sibling could sleep with his head in the bowl, he'd sleep on the bowl!!
All sleeping!!  Shhhh!!
Must be in a deep, deep sleep or dreaming of more food
"Oh, man!  Why is she still taking my picture after I'm awake?"
Just changed positions and back to sleep they went
For a long time, this critter was watching every move that was made

Good Food and Weight Loss

Oh, my!!  It's time for confession :o)  This is what I had for lunch today.  Let me rephrase that sentence ~ I had maybe only half of this delicious food for my lunch today.  I plan to finish it up tomorrow.  It was REAL food!!  One of the boys in our High School who is a senior did a fundraiser today and sold homemade dinners.  I picked the chicken and pasta.  It had melted mozarella cheese on it along with two piece of thick toasted bread laden with butter!!  Now, you know why I said I had to confess, but I'm not ashamed.  I've eaten so much salad and veggies that I think I should be hopping around on four legs instead of walking on two and maybe have two long pointed ears along with a fluffly little cotton~like tail.  Let me say that it was soooooo good and I don't feel one bit guilty for eating it!!
When I got dressed this morning, the skirt I put on fell down around my hips!!  Oh, no!!  Couldn't wear it like that!  So, I went on the hunt of a large safety pin to solve my problem :o)  This is how big my skirt was on me.  Just thought I'd share the progress.  I haven't got on the scale for a while.  Maybe this weekend, but then on second thought, after eating the good lunch I had today I think I'll go out and walk for at least two hours after sunset to try to get rid of some of the calories I consumed a few hours ago!!

And You Thought 26 Boxes Was A Lot?

Not sure if you remember my post about Dennis bringing 26 boxes of diet Jello home on one of his trips to visit one of our members in the hospital at Miami!?!?!  Here's the picture of that display!
Well, just a few weeks ago he was up in the Cincinnati area on School/Church business for several days and one thing on his agenda was to go to Walmart while on his journey's around up there.  He was going to RE~stock up on our diet Jello supply!  I believe it was the first night he was up there I happened to call and see what he was doing.  He answered by saying that he was just walking into a Walmart.  Oh, how I wanted to be there.  WALMART and here I was in Cayman!!  On his first trip, he did buy a few boxes of Jello.  As a matter of fact, he only bought 70 boxes.  That didn't happen to be enough for him and he went to another Walmart a day or so later and bought another 48 boxes for the grand total of 118 boxes!!  When he told me that, I just couldn't even believe my ears.  My reply was, "Where are we going to put all of it?"  After we got back from Tampa last Thursday, before I realized it Dennis put all in my one cupboard and it goes from the bottom shelf almost up to the very top ~ like three or four rows of it :o)  To my dismay, I didn't get any pictures of it :o(

Birthday Breakfast

This past Saturday morning, we took three of our best friends here at Cayman to one of my favorite restaurants here on the Island at the Westin Resort!  They have one of best and yummiest (if that's a word) breakfast buffets that I've ever been to.  I spurgled since I was still celebrating my birthday :o)  These sweet ladies treated me to breakfast.  I don't know what excuse I'll use now, because my birthday is over for another year!!  hehehehe!!  I guess I really don't need an excuse to be able to eat some real food when you're dieting.
