Our Trip to Dick's Sporting Goods

Of course, if you're going fishing you must go to Dick's to get your fishing supplies!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!
"Which reel do I want?  I've got to try them all out to see which one is the best!"
"Is this net the right size for me?"
"Too many decisions that my head is spinning!"
"Brothers!!  Caden, I think the white net is better!"
 "But I like the blue!"
We had lots of fun and made oodles of memories on all of our fishing trips!!

Turtle

In the apartment complex where Brett & his family live there are several huge ponds or little lakes.  We (rather everyone else) fished in one of them while we were there.  Brett caught this big turtle for Caden.  His shell was covered with muck!!  YUCK!!  Anyway, they kept it for a short time and then released it back into the water.  Of course, Caden liked having a turtle at his house :o)  These ponds/lakes are formed from the rivers that come in from the Bay.

Our First Day in Tampa

We left Grand Cayman on Easter Monday and flew up to Tampa to spend several days with Brett, Karissa, Caden & Jordan before going farther North.  We spent several days fishing and this was the first day!

Here Brett was trying to untangle the Little Man's line from out of the brush :o)
I love this picture of my GRAND~BABIES.  They are the apple of my eye!!
Jordan smiling so big.  I wish I would've taken his pacy out of his mouth so you could see that smile better.
Mommy Karissa helping Caden reel in a BIG one that his Daddy hooked
And here's the catch!!  It was a huge catfish!!
 Dennis with Brett . . . . .
 and Caden joining in!!
He was a little unhappy here for some reason and he was probably tired and hot, too!
But it doesn't take him long to get happy when he plays in the water
On his way over to the pier where his Daddy and Pappy were fishing
 There they are
More blogging of our trip coming up!  Stay tuned!!

My Easter Bonnet :o)

Here I am in my Easter hat.  It's the one a lady bought me for last Easter.  These are the flowers that were presented to me as the Pastor's Wife/Church Mom.  Just thought I'd show off my beautiful family, too!  Except baby Jordan wasn't born then :o)

Mother's Day Morning Service

Here are some shots from our Mother's Day Service Sunday Morning!
Children doing a poem with the letters from M-O-T-H-E-R
This lady read a reading titled "Before I Was A Mom".  It was really good and very true!
Reciting Scripture they had memorized
Part of the Congregation yesterday.  One side isn't even in the picture.  We had a good crowd!
These ladies were illustrating Biblical Mother's while another lady read something about each one.
Favoring us with a special number in song
And then these people showed up to sing :o)
This group was from the Children & Youth Services Foundation Residence.  They, too, sang and did really good!  I was impressed!  A lady from our Church works there.
Presenting the Mother with the youngest child
This lady from our Church cares for a 96 year old lady who is unable to come out to our services.  She took this bouquet of flowers home to her.
Then they presented me as being the "Pastor's Wife and Church Mom" with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
The men sang a special song for the Mother's
This sweet lady was presented a beautiful plaque for "Mother of the Year".  She was totally shocked and is one of my good friends!
Here the Mother's were singing.  There were several ladies who didn't or couldn't go up on the platform.  Not sure how many Mother's were there, but there were a lot!!

Back In Grand Cayman and Mother's Day

We are back home in Cayman!  Wow ~ what a whirlwind of a trip.  Talk about traveling a lot and flying from one destination to another :o)  But we have no other choice and with the amount of time we're in the States that's what we have to do.  I had such a wonderful great time with our/my family.  Made lots of memories, sat around reminiscing, laughed, cried, took off for a day trip to Philly, spent time moving Brandon, had a lot of fun with Brett and his family and lots more.  We've got my laptop up and going, but now for some reason I can't download some of my pictures from the trip.  I will continue to work on that problem, because as someone said "Dorcas has some doozie's of pictures!"  I just want to share them with the world :o)  So, be sure to stop back soon!!

Well, today is Mother's Day!  I hate that I won't be with either or both of my boys, but I'm so glad I got to spend a lot of time with them while in the States.  They are grown now and my love for them has also grown for them over the years.  God blessed me with some of the best!!
It's a day of mixed emotions for Dennis and I both.  It's a sad day because this year neither of our sweet Mother's are here.  Oh, how I miss my Momma!!  I love this picture of her as this is one of the things in life that made her happy :o)  She loved to eat her sweets which she was very limited to because of her diabetes and when she did she really enjoyed it.  I miss you, Mom!!
And my Mother~in~law, Alice.  There's a hole in our hearts for her, too!  She left her earthly body on October 18th after much suffering from a very, very bad accident several years ago.  This Mother's Day will be very hard for Dennis and his sister not having their Mother here.  She was one sweet lady who is dearly missed!!
Then there's our daughter~in~law Karissa!  We can't be with you today but we wish you a wonderful Mother's Day with your little family.  So sorry that Brett has to work today but like I said last evening he will make it up to you on his first day he has off!!  Celebrate with the boys :o)  We love you!!
To my two sister's, Vi & Charlotte, sister~in~law, Cheryl, nieces Teresa, Michelle & Katressa, niece~in~law Lisa, sister~in~law Cindy and all my friends who read this and are Mother's, I wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day!!  Love to you all!!
